It should be way bigger news that Trump effectively killed any attempt by foreign countries to build new factories in the United States with this idiotic ICE move. Just incalculable long term damage.

A big win for measles ally RFK Jr. — only three kills so far, but surely more to come
"The United States has reached its highest annual measles case tally in 33 years, hitting at least 1,277 confirmed cases across 38 states and the District of Columbia."

Making measles great again.
U.S. measles cases reach 33-year record high as outbreaks spread
Johns Hopkins University data reflects the public health reversal in defeating the vaccine-preventable disease since measles was officially eliminated from the U.S. in 2000.

Money not used for Medicaid: The bill includes $257 million to carry out Trump’s often-mentioned plans for a makeover of the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts — funding that comes despite the Trump administration’s cancellation of grant offers to arts and humanities programs nationwide

Taken from Medicaid: The space shuttle Discovery, will be relocated from Virginia to Houston. The bill includes $85 million to pay for its relocation and housing at the Johnson Space Center. The move comes after a push by two Texas Republican senators, John Cornyn and Ted Cruz.

This just in: Alligator Alcatraz: "The center is estimated to cost $450 million a year, with the expenses incurred by Florida and reimbursed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency..." What does FEMA money have to do with immigration? People are bouncing FEMA checks they've received. JEESH.

This sounds overstated until you read the NYT news story—literally this is what happened at one Florida university
In Florida, “free speech” and “institutional neutrality” mean that a Nazi arguing that nonwhites have no rights wins a prize while a course with “race” in the title is censored for violated the law.

Congratulations to all the credulous centrists who helped this along.

Who's more dangerous? The President or RFK Jr.? Today, it's RFK Jr. I'd like to know that I can get the latest flu and COVID shot in a timely manner. Both of these are vaccine-preventable diseases. abcnews.go.com/Health/rfk-j... And I'm old.

@kasie.bsky.social Ask Scott Jennings if this is a core concept Trump ran on: Section 70302 of the legislation. Under the "Byrd Rule," only policies that affect federal spending or revenue can be included in a reconciliation bill. This would severely restrict federal courts’ authority to hold.
