When I was 12 years old I read The Running Man. It blew my mind. I have probably reread it half a dozen times. The 87 movie was a dud that only shared a premise and title. Edgar Wright’s new adaptation blew my mind by giving me almost everything I loved back then plus more. 5 Star Action Flick.

With the AI image and everything. This is the thing that's made me angriest about the wimpy Dem/elite response to this round of Trump shit: these people are absolute donkeys, they don't know how to DO anything. Jam them, challenge them, mock them, all they can do is fucking cry, sue, and post.

The debate around what is or isn’t “cancel culture” really just obscures a simple truth that it’s BAD to be massively racist/sexist/homophobic/transphobic and it’s GOOD to speak out against injustice. Some things are good and some things are bad and it’s okay to say which you think are which.

Hulk Hogan truly was the real America: an icon you were dutifully instructed to adore as a child and then every single piece of information about what he was, what he did, and what he thought about things made you hate him more and more, and in a way, yourself for falling for it.

Instead of publicly chastising people who now regret voting for Trump, give them a hug. When you're in nice and close whisper "Nice job, fuckface" in their ear.

I got to be friends with David Lynch when we were both at Universal years ago. A very kind man, he was a fan of Bob's Big Boy. So was I. I'm going to miss him. R.I.P. David.

David Lynch understood how to use visual and aural textures to reflect the ineffable sensations of the waking and dreaming lives in his art. His work conjured our darkest acts and most sublime joys. So many of us owe him so much. RIP you uniquely American genius.
