Today I learned that if your Apple Pencil has stopped talking to your iPad, and you talk to support, they want the serial number of the pencil. And if your iPad can't read it because they aren't talking, the only way to get it is in tiny, tiny text in the inside of the pencil tip

It has been zero days since the last time I saw he/him pronouns used as generic engineer pronouns
It is 2025, and apparently people are still sending out emails where they use he/him pronouns for the entire engineering team

Someone asked me about my mask this week, and was clearly not at all prepared for me to explain that I’m chronically ill and vulnerable if I catch something
Sometimes when people ask me why I’m wearing a mask I say I’m traveling or have some important thing soon and can’t afford to get sick and miss it and that’s pretty much always true but I think it would be nice if it were more normalized to just say “I don’t want to get sick” and leave it at that

I got a lot of feedback at the beginning of my career that I was “aggressive” for defending my ideas the same way the men were
I'm not linking to that NYT piece today, but of all the horrible parts of it, this was the worst. This was an explanation of "female vices" in the workplace and LET ME JUST TELL YOU...

I firmly believe that the Notwithstanding Clause should not exist, and any government that uses it should be ashamed of themselves

2. Slowly lean as far as possible into the bathtub
3. Fall in
4. Scramble out of the tub
5. Repeat
Now there are wet kitten footprints everywhere
