Its leaders now use their own victims as fodder for voters' prejudices.

The Criminal Finances Act 2017 is supposed to combat corporate tax evasion.

The Minister says "Since its introduction, there have been no prosecutions or convictions of corporations". Billions lost.

But the left currently identified what this government would be like, so rather than listen to liberals angry they had their wallets inspected, you should listen to us.

I hope working class folk in the UK who are tempted to vote Reform UK are looking at the way Trump is slashing medicaid & social security budgets, firing thousands of civil servants & ripping up the rule of law to give billions to the rich. Well it paid precisely $0 in federal income taxes last year.

Not only are you exactly right but that’s what happened in Georgia, the only US state to build nuclear in the last 30 years. Since May 1 2024 Georgian Power customers have been struggling with huge power bills from the 24% rate increase when Vogtle finished. Disconnects are soaring.
If you build nuclear power stations you're effectively supporting the electricity supply industry oligarchs who will force consumers to pay for them and the enlarged grid whilst offering no improvement in energy security or resilience because the next big storm will still lead to power cuts.
Why would a country with such vast renewable resources - clean, safe, never ending - even consider building costly and dangerous nuclear power stations?
