That's OK, it's just a list somewhere, and it's useful to be on that list because it gives visibility to the project 😀.

@scikit-learn.org has a deficit of visibility; those not in machine learning do not realize how much it is used

Bucket list item unlocked: I'm so proud to be included as a guest in this year's Royal Institution Christmas Lectures! I'm in Lecture 2 which (in the UK) is aired at 7pm on 29th Dec on BBC4, or on iPlayer now. Tune in to find out why moons might be the best places to find non-Earth life!

@schiff.senate.gov @padilla.senate.gov @usrepjimmypanetta.bsky.social COULD Y'ALL GET ON THIS BEFORE EVERY SINGLE SCIENCE GRANT HAS BEEN (ILLEGALLY) TERMINATED.

It would be super cool to actually stop the admin from doing illegal shit, but IDK man what do I know. I'm just a scientist. 💀

So reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) can't fly, but they are VERY MAGICAL.

For example, their EYES CHANGE COLOR during the year & they're one of the few large mammals that can see UV. Golden brown in summer, deep blue in winter.

Let's talk about the unique visual adaptations of Rudolph and company.

Every day I’m amazed by the #gridfinity community. Just looked up if there were any solutions for Dymo labelers and its tape cassettes. Found an all in one box for the standard six tapes and machine holder in an 8x3 gridfinity bin. So happy i don’t need to design it!

If there’s one thing that consistently all students (and some older folks too) do wrong , is to not fix the y-axis range when comparing two data plots with the same dimensions.

The US social media vetting for visas will be devastating for scientific and journalistic conferences, fellowships etc. No global organisation can seriously consider holding an international conference in the US while this policy exists.

“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability and quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.
Air pollution fell substantially as the city restricted car traffic and made way for parks and bike lanes.

Today #RFKjr is walking back life saving vaccines. We used to understand what that meant. My article, below. 🧪🗃️
When Paul woke, he couldn’t move. A tent surrounded him, too foggy to see through. The humidity was supposed to help, but in the damp darkness he felt only fear. In a scene that predates the Matrix by 50 years, he was one kid in a sea of many, each in a metal pod and plugged in to machinery. #Polio

Totally gives me Jabba the Hut vibes.
This picture has been making the rounds again, and is being misidentified again.

This is a GOOSEFISH.

This is NOT a tasselled wobbegong shark.

It’s a great pic. I get why people are very excited about it. But it’s as easy to give it the right name as the wrong one.
