If Trump continues to violate court orders on SNAP, we should withhold payment of money owed to the federal government. My bill, the RECOURSE Act, would establish a process for New York to do this, but state and city officials could act without it, and they should.

Republicans in TX and elsewhere are taking us into a new era of continuous, partisan redistricting.

@sengianaris.bsky.social and I are proposing to allow New York to do mid-decade redistricting if another state fires the first shot.

Time for Democrats to show up to the fight.

This 82-year-old grandfather was living a quiet life. Granted political asylum from Pinochet in 1987, he was disappeared by ICE when he went to replaced a lost green card.
