I will not support this bill that completely fails to help Americans afford their health care.

Trump and R’s have more than doubled Americans’ health care premiums, and for 40 days they have refused to lift a finger to do a thing about it. In fact, they’ve made it worse by taking food from kids.

I asked Georgetown law prof David Super wtf is going on with this latest demand for states to claw back benefits already sent out.
He says the law doesn't allow for this, and if the USDA is mad that states already sent out SNAP money, too bad—they were following USDA's own guidance. Full comments:

Great to talk to voters today in Woodbury about Rep. Hemmingsen-Jaeger for Senate! She’ll be great in continuing and adding to her representation of SD 47 constituents. Access to child care and access to healthcare are priorities for her - we need strong advocates like Amanda in the MN Senate!

shocked to learn that the president lied about this and also this is a horrible defacing of a building that belongs to the people of the United States, not donald trump
Scoop: Trump has started demolishing the White House's East Wing facade to build his ballroom. The president had claimed construction of the $250 million building wouldn’t ‘interfere’ with the existing White House structure. /W @ddiamond.bsky.social wapo.st/4hqBNiU

It has to be said - again and out loud - that it’s Republicans in Congress who’ve unshackled him.

I’m glad Gov Walz is taking steps to ensure Minnesotans will continue to have access to the COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccines save lives and Minnesotans deserve to be able to go to their health care provider when it’s convenient for them and get a shot.

I donated blood this morning. Fast and efficient - took less than an hour. One way to help our community at a time when there’s a blood shortage. American Red Cross redcrossblood.org and Memorial Blood Center mbc.org urgently need donations! ❤️

Children, teachers, worshippers all should be safe from gun violence in their community. My heart goes out to the families and I, along with my colleagues, recommit to working on solutions to address gun violence.

Minnesota’s evenly divided delegation could provide the four patriotic Republican votes needed to join Democrats to stop the Big Ugly Bill.
We just need four patriots in the Republican Party to tank this terrible bill.

Four patriots to join House Democrats in standing up against the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the ultra-wealthy in our nation’s history.

Yesterday, the MN Dept of Health announced 170 layoff notices due to unexpected federal grant cuts of over $220M. These cuts will affect Minnesotans’ daily lives — accessing vaccinations, seeing less support for our elders in nursing homes & less surveillance of wastewater. It’s going to hurt.

The first and most important thing to know about last night's Exec order is that it's intended to break current law and allow people throughout the federal gov look at yr tax returns. Beyond that it's intended to compel states to turn over all their data to the fed govt.

The bill was referred to the committee I chair, I won’t be scheduling it for a hearing. We do important work in SenateHHS and listen to Minnesotans who come to us with urgent needs for better access to mental health care. Trivializing a serious issue to make a point is disrespectful & disheartening.
Five Minnesota Senate Republicans are seeking to dub “Trump derangement syndrome," a term coined to describe a form of criticism of President Donald Trump, as an official mental illness recognized under state statute.
GOP Minnesota Senators introduce bill that defines ‘Trump derangement syndrome’ as mental illness
The invented term is en vogue again after making the rounds during Trump’s first term.

Over 105,000 Minnesotans are covered by Medical Assistance in CD-3. 20% of the kids under age 19 have MA. Access to health coverage leads to better success in school. For seniors, cuts mean less access to long term care services they need. No cuts to Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy!
Cutting Medicaid will jeopardize health coverage for millions of Americans. I joined Rep. Morrison at Martin Luther Senior Living Center in Bloomington to highlight the need to push back against these proposed cuts and fight for the care Minnesotans deserve.
