Here is a literal preschooler wearing a Spider-Man backpack, just like all of our kids, as the hand of a much larger masked ICE agent holds onto his backpack, as if he were a flight risk.
They want to tell you a kid with a Spider-Man backpack is evil
Liam Ramos' innocence, like the innocence of all kids, is unimpeachable. The visuals of his arrest are excruciating.

Terrorizing our kids is not going to make our communities safer. ICE needs to end this surge in Minnesota – and I refuse to vote to send more funding to DHS and ICE when they continue to trample on the rights of Minnesotans and make our communities less safe.

Patient health is the number one priority. Health care workers should never be forced to choose between doing their job and protecting their patients from masked agents. Any ICE presence in health care settings endangers everyone. My statement with other legislators:

As a member of the Minneapolis delegation I am in strong support of this statement and agree there must be accountability and ICE must leave our cities, our Minnesota.
We are horrified by the news that an ICE Agent has shot and killed a person in Minneapolis today.

The Minneapolis Delegation to the Minnesota Senate released the following statement. ICE must be held accountable, and leave our city and state now.

Announcing a freeze of funding on social media is irresponsible and dangerous. Disruption to child care affects families across the state. As more information becomes available, I will continue to support and work with the state agency and the providers who make access to child care possible.
Minnesota child care providers are looking for answers about how a sudden freeze in federal assistance announced by the Trump administration will affect their services. Clare Sanford with the Minnesota Child Care Association said there are unanswered questions about how the payment halt will go.

Today we hope you will join us in remembering former Senate Majority Leader Kari Dziedzic, who we lost one year ago today. She was known for her tireless work ethic, quick wit, and unyielding kindness. She was driven by service, not the spotlight.
