My last step before writing the draft is a detailed outline, here's a bit from the Spelljammer book. It's typically about 10% of the length of the finished book, and it's a sort of "shooting script" -- roughly one paragraph per scene or sub-scene describing the basic beats.

So for my 2 cents… I used to write VERY detailed outlines. But over time, moved towards writing loose summaries featuring the main set-pieces. I then write a very scrappy “zero” draft working out how to get there.

Submission Grinder is one of the best tools for writers out there.

I know many new writers worry about how readers will receive their work. That’s a valid concern! That said, two things:
1. This gig is only worth it if you write what YOU want.
2. Some will hate your stuff, but some will like it. Your readers. They’re awesome. Write for them.

Good literary translation requires understanding (language, culture, genre--on both sides of the translation) and an ability to write well. "AI" can't do that. There are no shortcuts. Treat your work and foreign language readers with the respect they deserve. You won't fool anyone with this.
