I was a bit amped going into the evening and worried about winding down tonight, but then we went to trivia and there was so much chaotic aggro energy at the club that it left me pleasantly worn out!

So my last job search had a side personal goal of "get over whatever job search baggage I can" and the silver lining of two job searches in one year is that I can really vividly see how I've managed to achieve that goal

After this last year of looking at a lot more software job postings than I ever have before, I just have to say that I am highly skeptical that anybody actually "thrives in ambiguity"

The problem with AI (as currently being pushed within the tech industry)
is the same as the tech industry as a whole:
People (mostly white guys) want to be lauded for being excellent without actually doing the work to be excellent. They want to be seen as amazing while being mediocre.

My headcount at my last job got posted and the changes to the role have given me an odd sense of closure / peace. It's funny to see the "lessons learned" from my incompatibility with the old role, vs the lessons ignored / unseen. Very instructive
