One of my friends lives in Houston and he just had a baby. I asked him how long pat leave is in TX and he sent me this gif. TX is a ~$3Bil state. By contrast, my birth country, Ethiopia, has on its constitution a 120days mat leave and a 10days pat leave (working), which employers must pay for! 🤦🏾♂️

We have new, bold leadership at the county and city level. I hope we get a step closer to a city where you don’t have to make half a mil a yr at a tech co. to live in it. I’m more hopeful than I was yesterday.
