My review compares Achcar's Gaza Catastrophe to @erikskare.no's Road to October 7. Skare offers a compelling list of Hamas's reasons. Achcar is adamant that Hamas's Islamism has led it to adopt irrational strategies, not just in launching al-Aqsa Flood but in many actions after taking power in Gaza.
"Conscience" doesn't extend to allegedly handing the alleged weapon to the alleged killer. Why let her drive the radicalization narrative and not call her out on irresponsible gun ownership?

/19 Moreover SCOTUS is relentlessly blocking federal courts’ ability to enforce injunctions against the administration, so Carr has that going for him, which is nice.

And Congress either supports this or is pathologically ineffective in addressing it.

Key point about the Trump administration’s military strikes on “narcoterrorists”:

Even if Congress authorized these performative attacks, they would still be terrible & absurd.

Terrible b/c these are premeditated killings of civilians.

Absurd b/c there’s no military victory in the War on Drugs.
Another US strike on a vessel alleged to be smuggling drugs in the Caribbean.

Once again, the specific entity and individuals targeted are not identified—simply labelled as "terrorists." 1/n

I am aware Spencer cox is an individual improvement over Darin Hitler or whoever is running other nearby red states but he is a 2024 trump endorser less than four years after saying Trump should resign for getting several people killed during a coup attempt.

Cox isn’t a deviation from the problem…

Audacious to say this shit before the shooter has even been caught. We do not know their identity or motive, let alone whether any organization funded their violence.
