I'm supposed to be at
Sweet Briar College, where I was so excited to meet with the amazing students, faculty, and staff who organized my visit & made Mobility their Common Read. Hours before my flight I learned about their Board's exclusion of trans & nonbinary people. So now I'm not going.

I have a flash fiction story out in @lostballoon.bsky.social, “The Medical Resident Leaves Her Husband.”

I continue to find dark humor in subverting medicine's clinical guidelines.

Thanks @chelsvoulgares.bsky.social and the Lost Balloon team for publishing this!

This is how you become a writer: just pick one of the things that is deeply wrong with you. Make it a character. Now send it on a self-help journey or try to kill it. Now call it a book.
