The simplest possible explanation for the Trump administration's actions is that Trump sexually abused minors with Jeffrey Epstein and there is further evidence in the files he's trying to cover up.
Breaking: The Trump administration announces that they will not be complying with today’s deadline to release the full Epstein Files.

They insist the files will be released in the next “couple weeks.”

where i grew up it is legal to murder someone for having this opinion of key lime pie
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

there were a couple weeks where i tried Perplexity to see if AI search engines were any good.

They aren't.

If you disagree let me make something clear: I am better at searching than you.
one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

I can’t quite put it into words, but Trump praising Mamdani on the same day that MTG resigns in opposition to “big Tech, big Pharma, the war complex and big donors” feels like a harbinger of realignment.

There is a political earthquake trembling beneath the surface waiting to break through.

one thing we need to do as a society is treat all fraud or theft over $100 million or so as a potential capital crime, with the possibility of execution for offenders.

It's like a nesting doll of civil-military crises. Just today:

1. Head of DIA fired
2. Trump threatens to deploy Army to Chicago + NYC
3. Blurring of police + military in DC
4. Use of FBI in political attack on Bolton
5. Goons in DC curtailing basic civil rights
Trump says he's willing to deploy the "regular military" to American cities, the adds that "Chicago is next and then we'll help with New York"

I got hit with the "there's your 'nonviolent' protest for you" after the footage of CHP cars getting rocks thrown at them started circulating.

this video shows who's really getting it worse rn. remember who started this, it wasn't the people defending their neighbors.
Content warning: blood, serious head injury. A woman was run down and trampled and clubbed by LAPD officers on horseback. She appears to be seriously injured and bleeding from the head as an officer drags her limp body along the pavement.

damn, the way he speaks while surrounded by reporters looking for any salacious detail to incrimnate him or his neighbor is very interesting. slow, deliberate, thoughtful, concise; seems to be becoming less and less common.
Love this guy.
The DC shooter's neighbor was perfectly on message. Solidarity, sir.

All this talk of a “Joe Rogan of the left” is kind of disheartening when we have a whole cadre of young women getting elected and working their asses off to hold people accountable and save us all, only to be sidelined by our own party over and over again.

In a functional democracy, a policy which 85% of Americans don’t support would never have a chance of passing.

In the US, our political system is extremely bad at representing popular opinion or translating our preferences into law. It’s just an entirely broken system.
There is not a single congressional district in the U.S. where more than 15% of voters support cuts to Medicaid.
