I can't help but feel sorry for the people involved in the project.
Stuck in development hell for so long and then unceremoniously dumped for not achieving unreasonable goals :(

I just checked, and the person who told me that misunderstood. The 250 million dollars doesn't include the first iteration of the project, but it includes all the others (starting with when EA demanded live service thingies).

I haven't double-checked this, but I was told that Jason Schreier claimed this last iteration alone cost 250 millions dollars.

Imma say this once again cuz I really mean it: Isle of Hex deserves eyes on it.
If I can be real here for a second... In all honesty, if any one of my works to date should get some sort of wider recognition (whatever that looks like), I think the upcoming (very very SOON) Isle of Hex might be the most deserving.

Finished Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Terrific game and a worthy part in the original Indy trilogy. The last major blockbuster of the year, it deserves to be played, and it's a return to high quality adventure stories to Machine Games.
