You can find me where archaeology and land management policies meet
Its also strange to me how remembrance day is about grief and commemorating tragedy recognising that conflict and violence is unecessary and deeply harmful, but it has devolved into whatever veterans day is which feels very 'i love military 🥾👅'
Remembrance day makes me deeply uncomfortable with people thanking people who are veterans of recent conflicts where Canada, in support of the US, were/are clear aggressors among other reasons

The living Israeli hostages have been released as part of a ceasefire deal that also saw about 2000 Palestinian prisoners freed.

Wait, but why are the Israelis “hostages” and the Palestinians “prisoners”?

In today’s video, that’s the question we’re exploring:

Hey look, Israel broke the cease-fire, twice, in two different ways, within 24 hours - again.
NEW: Israel informed the UN it will permit only 300 aid trucks into Gaza daily, not the 600 mandated by the ceasefire it just signed.

The way everyone in a position of power in the government and at Canada Post refuses to entertain any of the proven methods that have saved other post offices and made them profitable is pathological.

How would they be behaving any differently if they were actively trying to make Canada Post fail?
Would you go to Canada Post for your mortgage? Why advocates think postal banking could be a lifeline for the Crown corp.
Amidst the labour dispute between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, a debate concerning the future of post offices across the country has once again taken the stage: Should Canada ...

It should be absolutely illegal for Google maps/Waze or whatever integrated GPS navigator is in a car to suggest a u-turn in directions point blank.

People are doing u-turns in absolutely insane places they never used to do them and it is so dangerous

Nothing riles me up like when a scripted podcaster reading the script they wrote pauses at a non-english word for a people/place/thing that is culturally important and goes 'oh I don't know how to say this' and then they say it wrong, then say 'if I said that wrong please correct me everyone uwu'

I'm just getting through to the end of watching Buffy for the first time and my main takeaway is that Angel is incredibly boring, no imagination. Boring, broody for no reason.

Spike though? Outstanding! He HATES being in love but he just can't stop! Phenomenal tv!

Kitchener Center results are a prime example of why 'strategic voting' is harmful rhetoric!

People voted for liberals instead of the Green candidate who has a very strong community presence because they were afraid of the conservatives, and now a conservative has won the riding.

Good:

* Poilievre isn't Prime Minister.
* Poilevre lost his own seat.

Bad:

* Everything has shifted substantially rightward.
* 40% of popular vote and +20 seats for Cons.
* Basically a two-party parliament of centre right and far right.
* Left leaning parties wiped out.
