The NCMD data on trans kids' suicides between 2019 and 2023 show a four-fold increase in 2021-22. That means we can confidently say that three-quarters of the suicides between 2021 and 2023 (23 trans children) were caused by the puberty-blocker ban.

23 children.

Callously dismissing the scale of suicide amongst trans youth Streeting wrongly stated “What I would say … claims have been made about the data that are not borne out by the facts.“
MPs ignoring issues is one thing, but an MP deliberately misrepresenting should be career ending.
I've written a blog aimed at cis ppl, on the recent revelations of rising trans suicide rates since NHS England removed gender affirming care for u18s, in particular about my involvement with trying to seek the truth and the trauma the gaslighting by Appleby, Streeting, Cass and the media causes.
Trans youth suicide - the truth we've always known. What it means to me and what I've been doing about it.
Last week Queer AF broke a story that revealed the suicide rate in trans under eighteens is around fourteen times higher than you might expect from census data.As the parent of Alice a trans woman who...

One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.

G&D electorate is 74,306 with a likely turnout of 44,360*. Constituency has ~390 trans* & ~2750 LGB+* people; add in friends and supporters and there's approx 4000 votes for a pro-LGBT+ party.
Only the Greens are that party**.

The person drafting the 2010 EA found the SC judgement "surprising" & "not how the legislation was conceived", because she knew exactly what the intention had been when her team drafted the Act "the meaning of it was very clear“ “a transwoman with a GRC is a woman”

Raising the threshold for IHT on farms is ofc good, which begs the question - how on earth did Starmer, Reeves and all the Labour MPs who voted it in ever think this tax was not going to unfairly penalise farming families?
Btw ‘thoughts & prayers’ for the suicides this caused. Hypocrites.
Keir Starmer has punctured the Christmas calm by slipping out a massive U-turn on farmers’ inheritance tax.

As opponents scent blood, one of the big questions is: why now?

Migration is not a threat to Britain, we rely upon it. Apprx 21% NHS staff have non-British nationality, apprx 325,000 of staff with known nationality as of June 2025. In the overall care sector, non-UK workers apprx 25%, up to 29% in social care.
Society would crumble without migrants.

The EHRC, as notes taken in the meeting clearly show, had already decided to push for anti-trans legislation and had no intention of listening to challenges on the basis of Equality and Human Rights.
Which rather begs the question, what is the purpose of the Commission?

SPS policy, similar to that in England and Wales, is that the locating of a transgender person in the prison estate should be considered on an individualised risk assessment basis to ensure that those with a history of violence against women will not be placed in a women's prison. No need to change.

Apparently there is a culture at the BBC "that too many of its staff have never considered the idea of 'gender identity' to be offensive to many people". Good for them.
I personally find it offensive that some people consider 'gender identity' offensive!

This. But in UK let’s make it mandatory from 40 spaces upwards.
South Korea has passed a law such that car parks with more than 80 spaces will be required to install solar canopies and carports.

And it will be RETROSPECTIVE

Should our politicians follow suit rather than cover East Anglia's agricultural land?

Liberal Democrats not being liberal or democratic! The LD leadership obvs cares neither for transsexuals‘ human rights nor their members’ wishes. The wisest action would have been to suspend gender quotas until such time as the SC judgement is reversed.

Young people, in particular, must receive the support that they need. Being denied, or having serious difficulties and delays in being treated just makes things far worse and can lead on to serious personal issues.
The NHS must provide timely help for trans people along their journeys.
🏳️‍⚧️ Every UK GIC's waiting list times, based on painstaking FOIs and research, are now available as part of our new investigation.

Most Trans+ people in the UK will wait more than a third of their adult life, and some will never receive care. Understand why:
