Apparently there is a culture at the BBC "that too many of its staff have never considered the idea of 'gender identity' to be offensive to many people". Good for them.
I personally find it offensive that some people consider 'gender identity' offensive!
The BBC has been “captured by a small group of [staff] promoting the Stonewall view” of the trans debate, according to a leaked document compiled by a former independent adviser ⬇️
BBC accused of suppressing negative transgender stories
Leaked dossier also reveals the broadcaster misled viewers with edited speech by President Trump and was biased against Israel

The undemocratic inherent defect in FPTP which means that votes are cast negatively against a ‘dislike’ rather than positively for a ’hope’. The UK deserves better; we deserve Proportional Representation.
More than half of Liberal Democrat voters and nearly half of Greens would back Labour to stop Reform winning key seats, YouGov analysis for The Times suggests ⬇️

The UK political duopoly is finished, thank goodness.
We now need a system which encourages positive voting for parties that should be elected, not negative voting solely to stop others.

This. But in UK let’s make it mandatory from 40 spaces upwards.
South Korea has passed a law such that car parks with more than 80 spaces will be required to install solar canopies and carports.

And it will be RETROSPECTIVE

Should our politicians follow suit rather than cover East Anglia's agricultural land?

Liberal Democrats not being liberal or democratic! The LD leadership obvs cares neither for transsexuals‘ human rights nor their members’ wishes. The wisest action would have been to suspend gender quotas until such time as the SC judgement is reversed.

Young people, in particular, must receive the support that they need. Being denied, or having serious difficulties and delays in being treated just makes things far worse and can lead on to serious personal issues.
The NHS must provide timely help for trans people along their journeys.
🏳️‍⚧️ Every UK GIC's waiting list times, based on painstaking FOIs and research, are now available as part of our new investigation.

Most Trans+ people in the UK will wait more than a third of their adult life, and some will never receive care. Understand why:

We condemn recent comments by Wes Streeting MP, about trans people on hospital wards. We've written to remind him that anyone staying on a hospital ward should be treated with dignity. His proposals are unworkable and would almost certainly cause harm.

How odd that Starmer just decided to recognise Palestine. Almost as though someone was pulling his strings to line up a lucrative job. Anyway, good; being busy in Gaza might stop him interfering in UK.
Pal-ID incoming?

So the answer is to introduce Digital ID? In a country which already has NI ID? For people coming from Europe which has already implemented Digital ID?
We already have rules, we’re just not enforcing them.

This has got to me a bit today so here we go.

No Rebecca we can't have a calm discussion for the way forward when one side's intention is to eliminate us, secondly the heat is coming from one side, it's the side accusing trans people of being paedophiles, rapists, cheats and predators.

1/26
For 6+years non stop, they have demonised every single one of us as predators, paedophiles and child mutilators. There can be no “conversations” with these ghouls.

No BBC!
Rowley did NOT call for law change!
He said the decision to arrest Linehan "was made within existing legislation which dictates that a threat to punch someone .. could be an offence" and that similar decisions will be made in future "unless the law and guidance is changed or clarified"

#Linehan was arrested using the laws of the land for tweets that incited violence against #trans women and inciting hatred against a group with a protected status.

It's called karma, the long tail of the concequences of your action.

Free speech is not freedom from the consequences of your speech.
When I was announced as the lead in a Doctor Who spinoff in 2023 Graham Linehan tweeted about me for TWO DAYS, tagging the BBC and others to say that I am pro-child abuse and they shouldn't work with me.

Water Follies

In the 35 years before privatisation, 100 reservoirs built; no major English reservoir built since.

Asset-stripping: Thames Water sold-off 25 reservoirs. Southern Water to decommission 43 of 93 by 2030.

Companies paid £85bn in dividends, borrowed £70bn. People fleeced and abused.
Nationalisation is the only way to fix the crisis in the water industry
Despite the damning evidence the government is clinging on to private ownership of water, which has fleeced customers for 36 years.
