Been thinking on this often. There's been such a long-standing push to turn software and games into streamed subscription services. Seems pretty reasonable to assume a lot of this isn't about scarcity at all, but a deliberate attempt to force that outcome whether we like it or not.

The silicon microprocessor computer chip, the backbone of modern life, is about to leave the consumer marketplace. We are not prepared for the end of personal computing.
I understand framing the AI bubble RAM supply crisis in terms of stuff like video game consoles because nerds can conceptualize that but the framing does really undersell the sheer magnitude of how it's going to fuck up everything that even touches a computer.

We can differ in opinion, until it encroaches on fascism; at that point, you’re wrong. They've found many ways to rig & cheat, & there is no limit to what they’ll attempt. Double-check voter registration often, & be prepared for new ID requirements. They'll make it difficult, to disenfranchise. ✌️☯️🌱
