After yesterday’s surrender, we’re launching the largest Democratic primary program that we’ve ever run.

We will not back any Senate primary candidate unless they call for Schumer to step down as Minority Leader.

If you’re as pissed as we are, join this campaign to rebuild the Democratic Party. 👇
Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

The GOP bragged they’d never negotiate — that they didn’t need Democrats.

Then they shut down the government, threw parties at Mar-a-Lago, and kept Congress on vacation while Americans missed paychecks.

Polls were turning on them.

Republicans Made This Mess — Democrats Just Cleaned It Up for Them

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

There is NO POINT in voting Democrat as we do, give them a resounding victory, and they COMPLETELY BETRAY US days later. FOR NOTHING! They are LITERALLY as corrupt as the Republicans (no other explanation for this as it was a 80-20 issue and WE WON) and there is no logic in supporting them any more!
Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.

Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans.

The American people need more from their leaders.

Yes, Mr. President: You’re right. We do have “the worst health care” of any major country.

Despite spending twice as much per capita, we are the only major country not to guarantee health care to all as a human right.

The solution: Medicare for All.

Just a reminder that Walmart scams more than $2 billion off the American taxpayer every single month because of SNAP. If you think mega corporations are not the true welfare queens, think again.

42 million hungry Americans are a product of a system where big biz grifts and GOP blame the poor.

Donald Trump is now going all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court to take SNAP food benefits away from Americans in need.

California won't back down in court from supporting the tens of millions of Americans the Trump Administration seemingly wants to starve.

If I didn’t have Medicaid and SNAP as a child—and a community that gave a shit about four little kids and their struggling mom—I wouldn’t be here today.

This is why elections matter. Virginia, the stakes couldn’t be higher to get out and vote for Democrats tomorrow.
