I'm heart broken.

The national parks are probably the most magical thing about the USA. And Yosemite is special all by itself.
“I’ve never seen anything like this in my 55 years,” says Beth Pratt, a regional executive director for the National Wildlife Federation, who lives near Yosemite and is working on a book called “Yosemite Wildlife.” “Just to want to gut the Park Service? I don’t understand it.”
'Honestly terrifying': Yosemite National Park is in chaos
The Trump administration is derailing decades of conservation efforts in California's most loved park.

The US government has been turned over to a group of extraordinarily ignorant people, and they are working to destroy science in this country. Cutting over half the NSF budget would save < 0.1% of the federal budget, but do incalculable harm. Simply heartbreaking.

RED ALERT!

There's a silent coup underway now. Musk & his subs have hacked into the payment systems at Depts of Health/Human Servcs, Treasury, Labor, Ctrs for Disease Control/Preventn, & Veterans Affairs.

They now have access to our SocSec#'s, confidential bank & medical info, etc.

READ! 📰
Musk and his rats have nothing whatever to do with rooting out “waste and fraud.” Their real purpose is to usurp Congress’s authority over spending, under Article I Section 8 of the Constitution. Some thoughts...

They’re burrowing into every data system in the federal government, although many wouldn’t pass a security test

The champions of Free Speech are now forcing scientists to retract submitted publications until they can be checked for the appearance of “forbidden terms.”
BREAKING NEWS: CDC orders mass retraction and revision of submitted research across all science and medicine journals. Banned terms must be scrubbed.

Goes beyond MMWR +other CDC pubs. Applies to research already submitted to top medical journals.

Take a look.

Aspiration is the answer. Not just “we’re not the bad guys.”

We need something more meaningful than that. I want a future worth fighting for. They have no vision. We do. Lean into our strengths and knock them out. 👊🏽

AI's computational efficiency is advancing faster than expected, proving yet again that the cheapest energy is the energy we don't use.

These breakthroughs, along with leadership in clean energy and battery tech, are coming from China—not the US, where progress is being delayed. More below.
