Prediction: Companies will dump money into trying to solve tough problems with AI agents. Some solutions will work. Then, when the bill hits, they'll realize "we could use an API/much cheaper algorithms." Many engineers will get their promotions refactoring AI flows to "dumb" integrations

Unsurprisingly, my Nuck Fazis design is getting some traction right now.

At a red light, a police car pulled up behind me. The lights flashed on, and the officer stepped out and approached the driver’s side of my car.

And then past me, towards the homeless man begging on the corner of the highway on-ramp. The officer raised a hand, signaling to the man to stay there.

One of the things I’ve noticed more and more as a developer, is the difference between:

- “You are not allowed to do X”
- “You should not do X”
- “It is impossible to do X”

Because the tenacious developer is only stopped by one of these three.

I worked in advertising for a while (for my sins), and one day I was having a conversation with a fellow writer about Bentleys. I said “it’s weird that Bentleys don’t advertise.”

He said, “oh, they do. Just not in any place you’ll ever see.”

And that was the poorest I’d felt in a while.
They must have advertised in magazines a lot when I was a kid. It felt like a major brand but that might be the only bottle I’ve seen in the wild.

“Don’t worry”, my toddler says, out of nowhere.

Immediately, I do the opposite.

I think the things I want most from the blue sky app right now are:
- lists, separate from follows.
- when I enter a view from a card (so, I’ve swiped up to enter), I want to be able to “close” that view.

Either by swiping it back down from a handle at the top, or hitting a close button.

The official D&D tennis shoe.

I designed them in a contest, and won first place for a $1000 prize.

They were sold at $120. I was unemployed and early in my career then, so I needed that prize money to even buy them.
Reskeet with something you own that most people don't.

I own my own pizza delivery bag. It's wonderful for getting takeout or bringing kugel or mac and cheese to a potluck. I love being able to keep my food hot and pizza places always seem to think it's cool that I have it.

Just used the flashlight feature on my watch, and it was surprisingly effective.

Very much a 50’s vision of the future moment.
