Will Lewis—the loathsome stooge who just fired hundreds of people for Bezos at the Washington Post—announces his departure from the Post with the same thumping gracelessness that has characterized his whole miserable tenure.

It's not that the truth doesn't matter to them. It's that the lies are essential to their survival.
Karoline Leavitt lies shamelessly: "Under Joe Biden, murders were up. Violent crime was up." (Biden brought crime dramatically down from where it was in 2020, the last year of Trump's first term)

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

Exactly what we were saying.

If they lie so brazenly when they know there is evidence that proves the truth AND when they know we know the truth, imagine how they lie when there is no such objective, independent evidence.
“Imagine how they lie when there’s no evidence to contradict them.”

Western countries are hitting refugees twice: they are making it harder to claim asylum *and* they are cutting aid to troubled regions.

I went to Sudan, the world's worst humanitarian situation, where the UN refugee agency has had to cut half its staff. Please have a read: as.ft.com/r/df593f1e-e...
