There are lots of reasons to compare what is happening now to Nazi Germany and there are also lots of reasons to compare what is happening now to the post-1850 Fugitive Slave Act U.S. and it's *weird* how people respond with interest to the former but total confusion to the latter

Went to one of the very many quickly organized pop-up rallies in our metro area that came together in a matter of days.

Gave out ~800 whistles, made contact with multiple people assembling whistle groups and directed a handful of people to the good whistle prints.

I don’t think folks appreciate enough that the reason Minneapolis was prepared for this moment is because of all the organizing from (and before) Black Lives Matter.

The people showing up now have showed up for a long time. And they have no intentions of stopping.

As satellite population surges, so does the impact on astronomy
Images captured by ground telescopes are getting contaminated by sunlight reflected off satellites. Space telescope data can get compromised too.
