Politics and poo, because I like beating Tories and I have crohn's (and arthritis and fibromyalgia and pompholyx and basically just a very overactive immune system).
Having a puppy means changes to life. I can no longer yell at the guests talking bollocks on Keunsberg because it wakes him up and scares him

Meet Chester.
On his first day with us he has managed to pee and poop on his puppy pad, and decided that despite us buying ALL the puppy toys, his favorite thing to play with is the man’s shoelaces.

Ukraine has fought too hard for its freedom, only to have its future dictated by Putin and Trump behind closed doors.

Any peace must guarantee Ukraine’s sovereignty and security on terms acceptable to Ukrainians, not just to Moscow and Mar-a-Lago.

David Lynch was the reason I successfully learned how to tie a knot in a cherry stalk with my tongue, and unsuccessfully tried to learn to talk backwards .
He was also the reason I learned it was OK to be weird. RIP

The Conservative party is now using the grooming gangs scandal to raise money for itself.

A reminder that Kemi Badenoch's spokesman admitted yesterday that she hasn't even bothered to speak to any of the victims, and doesn't see the need to.

Apparently in rare cases pompholyx can migrate from the hands to the arms.

I’m pretty fed up of being rare

Yes I’m having two by the same author. I also have this whole book on my wall courtesy of spinelessclassics.com

Today is white ribbon day. It’s part of a global campaign to end male violence against women and girls.

To be an ally to women as a man is to hold other men and boys accountable for their behaviours that could lead to violence against women and girls.

Start of my last week at work, and whilst I cannot wait to give my body some much needed rest and a chance to stop developing new ways to hurt, I will miss mornings that start with a discussion about straight and curly apostrophes with the party president @markpackuk.bsky.social

My annual rant against a feminist campaign.

We don’t need to “ask her to stand”

We need to “make it feasible for her to stand”

We do that by reforming council chambers and parliament to not be geared to the lives of men with supportive partners. Fix the systemic misogyny so she wants to stand

“If Mary spent as much time composing her essays as she did thinking up ways to insult me she’d be getting far higher marks”

Bitch, I got an A at A level (before A* existed) and 40/40 on the externally marked coursework. Essays were easy. Insulting you was fun.
"Jennie is great at being the class clown but she'll find that won't win her much respect in adult life."

To be fair, it wasn't wrong. But happily, I don't give a shit.

On International Men's Day, we celebrate the positive contributions of men and boys in our society.

We also recognise issues disproportionately affecting men's wellbeing. Men continue to face higher levels of rough sleeping, lower life expectancy, and higher rates of suicide.
