11,000 lines of code is fuck all, and saying it's "akin to Slack" is just lying.
Anthropic says Claude Sonnet 4.5 spent 30 hours running autonomously, writing 11,000 lines of code to build a chat app akin to Slack or Teams (Hayden Field/The Verge)

This Nx / s1ngularity exploit is getting worse - anyone who didn't revoke their compromised Github token is now seeing their private git repositories renamed and made public! 😱

hey @edzitron.com this is right up your alley - a developer tool with millions of downloads/week was compromised and extracted secrets. The vulnerability was added by Claude Code, and the exploit used LLM tools to scan victims filesystems for secrets!

OpenAI doesn't realise that PhD-level expertise has very little to do with the stuff you know and more to do with how you can think. I forget facts from mine all the time!

The value in my PhD is knowing how to reliably generate, evaluate, and defend or dismiss information that's new to the world.
OpenAI: we’re giving you PhD-level expertise in your pocket!

Everyone with PhDs: I know exactly who you’re automating and I hate him

Wrote about syncing identities in Ory Kratos with your other systems. It's the documentation you won't find on Ory's website!

Syncing Ory Kratos Identities with Other Systems
Today we are going to look at two ways of synchronising identities from Ory Kratos with another system. This can be accomplished using Kratos's webhooks functionality, but the process is not obvious. ...

A bit silly perhaps but has anybody come up with a little badge to indicate something was made by a person and not an AI yet? I want like the Made In SA logo but for humans.

Pretty fuckin sneaky of BlueHost to advertise 50GB hosting and backups, when it's a bait and switch and the backup has a 1GB quota with CodeGuard.

With average speeds of 30km/hr it's quicker for most drivers to ride a bike to work, but we can't because we'll die in traffic.

The solution is car park sized cookie cutters that slam down periodically and if your vehicle happens to be too big then it just gets trimmed down to the appropriate size.

For longer than I wish to admit, I thought Steve was talking about a certain Australian children's cartoon with dogs.. Had me right up until "horniness"
As a straight cis white guy I can't stress enough how refreshing it is on Bluey where my perspective is one of many rather than the presumptive singular, shutting out everybody else. Work, language, art, family life, perceived normalcy... but especially horniness. God damn, go get it.
