What a joy to see Chaplin's The Great Dictator on Sky Arts. Funny, relevant and powerful. Helped bring the USA belatedly into the war. Although the film strongly condemns the violence shown to Jewish people, Chaplin later said he could never have made the film if he'd known about the Holocaust.
