This is important & necessary. I’d add only that a) It’s clear many of the political & media figures deliberately ignoring these facts are playing with the sort of fire we saw on our streets this summer & b) Laura Kuenssberg’s failure to point this out to Farage was an appalling dereliction of duty.
Some people in recent days have alleged a ‘cover-up’ over the grooming & rape of hundreds of young girls in predominantly northern UK towns, leading to calls for a ‘national’ public inquiry into child sexual exploitation

what's frustrating though is that we *all* know that if this doesn't pass the issue will be kicked into the long grass again, would probably be at least a decade before a government gives it another go, so think it's a bit cowardly for Westminster to say it's just about "this specific bill"

Having spent a week or two more full time here, I can absolutely confirm that the real echo chamber is not Bluesky but X. Musk’s platform is roaring cyclotron of hate, gamed algorithms and inauthentic blue ticks. It’s not free speech but ‘paid for’ speech that stops genuine exploration and debate.
