I recall reading a children’s book of explanations for curious minds which said that the reason Friday the 13th was unlucky is because humanity feared the unknown, and couldn’t count past 12 (ten fingers, two feet). 🙄
I later learned it was that many cultures had 13 months, 13 full moons,… -cont.

i am noticing that as i teach more i am developing a kind of tone production mysticism, like teaching a secret art to unlock universal meaning. i think its because it is difficult to describe how to produce a great tone, but one of the most crucial elements to building basic technique and expression
