Car-free parent in Scarborough!
Transit lover, eBike rider.

I am a car free parent of 2 young kids in North Scarborough. Living life with our eBikes and the TTC/GO!
I post about transit, walkability, cycling... and video games 😆
I was in Eglinton station for like 15 minutes, and completely unable to find the Next Train displays, because every time I looked at these boards they were giving these Stand Clear messages.
The issue is they have it programmed so that the literal screen that tells you when the next train comes changes over to warning you not to step on the yellow line every time someone does this.

Thr fun thing about sending the Eglinton trains to KW:
Since the Eglinton LRVs are single-ended, it would also compel KW to run double-length trains
I really hope everything goes well with the Eglinton Crosstown LRT opening tomorrow and Toronto will get a high quality new transit line, but if everything goes south please send the trains here so we can bump up ION frequency

Ford can either call his own public inquiry (and write the terms of reference) or he can wait for the next government to do something he'll enjoy even less.

So, have billionaires *always* had the exact same cartoonishly blunt business philosophy as Zorg from The Fifth Element?

Well thanks to food safety laws, it would *also* have been illegal to make and sell pizzas out of his oven at home, so may as well do it somewhere with better equipment.

At the moment Canada remains largely committed to 1) more sprawl 2) hyperconcentrated highrise development on suburban sites 3) letting existing house neighbourhoods shrink and atrophy.

All three of those are bad fiscally, socially, environmentally. It all needs to be shaken up.

Ha! Everyone learned to hide in embarrassment.
When Line 5 opens on Sunday, there will be no opening ceremony or events. Rides will be free, however.

So feel free to visit at your own convenience.

Bike share usage is still recovering after the snowstorm, but has a long way to go. It seems like this could fully recover if the city actually finished clearing its major bike routes.
