Nov 5, 1990: the first Head End Power (HEP)-equipped VIA Rail trainset arrives in Toronto from Vancouver, returning west the next day. In the 1980s, VIA Rail planned to replace its fleet of stainless steel cars with new bi-level cars, similar to Amtrak's Superliners. 1/3

On the way back from Hamilton last week we checked out progress on the Port Credit LRT Station, located next to the GO Train Station of the same name in southern Mississauga.

This will be the terminus of the Hazel McCallion Line (also known as the Hurontario LRT).

While the Eglinton Crosstown LRT still has no opening day, the GO Train and UP Express Station at Mount Dennis Station will open on November 16, 2025.

We went by the brand new Confederation GO Station in Hamilton today.

Bus service started in 2019, now train service has finally arrived as well.
