The beauty of mutual aid is that it is fundamentally just that. It can adapt to different situations and get more complex but its logic is fundamentally simple and easy to understand.
What many may call mutual aid is basically just people looking out for their community members, their neighbours, their teachers, their co-worker, their local street vendor etc.

People have no idea. I've sat in meetings with immigration officials as a support person and they literally ask LGBTQ people to prove they are queer. They ask them to name partners, ask them to state sexual preferences. It's purposefully degrading
I think a major hurdle in moving the dial on immigration is the fact that the vast majority of people in wealthy countries literally never interact with migration systems and how dehumanising and frustrating it all is

What strikes me is how not alarmed she is. Because a reasonable human being in this country didnt used to expect an agent of the state pulling a gun over this level of interaction.
The ICE agent called her a "fucking bitch" after he killed her. One officer screams "Go, get out of here" while this officer says "Get out of the car." You clearly see her turn the wheel AWAY from him after he steps in front of her car. Did they think releasing this would help them?? cw // violence
