A Stratford Festival veteran, he was the first person to play a Klingon on Star Trek (Commander Kor). He also appeared on The National Dream, Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek: DS9 (reprising Kor role). He died in 2000.

As soon as the Portland Frog became a meme, Jewish social media blew up with jokes about the 2nd Passover plague - tzefarde'a (frogs) - and the Rabbinical commentary around it. I knew I had to make a calligraphy piece encompassing all of it. (more in alt.)

Here's today's fun! An amulet scroll from East Turkestan, 8th century AD, written in a cursive brahmi-derived script, supposedly containing a mix of Sanskrit and Khotanese. If you look at the end of lines 1-5 you'll see the same 3 characters repeated, also just before the end of line 6: a formula?
