Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

My recollection of Orwell's 1984 was that it took prolonged physical and psychological torture for the protagonist to believe the obvious lie he was being told. But now there's at least a third of the country that's just voluntarily willing to believe the administration's lies.

I've seen a bunch of incorrect statements about the Salt N Pepa copyright decision, and I don't want to single people out so I'm addressing some common ones here for your reference and education. Thread starts below with "they didn't write their songs"
I know it's not the worst of the week, but I'm disappointed to learn that a court dismissed Salt N Pepa's lawsuit against UMG. Salt N Pepa sought a declaration that their termination under 17 USC 203 was valid, which would return their sound recording copyrights (i.e. "masters") to them.
