This is pretty cool, an Oregon first: state wildlife officials and tribes would co-manage this proposed wildlife area in the Blue Mountains.
The Qapqápa Wildlife Area would provide access to hunting and recreation, and would be managed for conservation of first food sources in the Blue Mountains of eastern Oregon.

The foundational (but often overlooked) Portland painter Isaka Shamsud-Din has died.

A survivor of the Vanport floods, Shamsud-Din is the artist behind many of the city's best loved murals.

He was 84.
