My theory about the FT, and why it’s the paper I choose to read for news, is that it’s designed for a readership who are making multi-million pound decisions which require a working knowledge of what is ACTUALLY happening if they’re not to lose Leeson levels of moolah, so it can’t afford to spin.
There's no better poster child for the mess the UK is now in than the fact that the Financial Times - home to the "how to spend it" supplement on luxury geegaws - is now one of the most left-wing media channels in the country simply because it's still interested in reality.
