Does your #DrugDiscovery strategy feel like... AI-fueled robot monkeys hammering away and hoping for a miracle? 🐒🤖

The race for funding is real, but chaos isn't a plan. It's time to swap the monkeys for a real #DigitalTransformation roadmap.

Roman theatre at Amman, Jordan. It is a 6,000-seat, 2nd-century Roman theatre when the city was known as Philadelphia. A Greek inscription on one of the pillars indicates that this theater was built in honour of Emperor Antoninus Pius (AD 138–161). #RomanSiteSaturday

On the event of James Watson's death, I highly recommend this 2023 commentary from @matthewcobb.bsky.social and Nathaniel Comfort with crucial new insights into the discovery of the double helix. (And also check out Cobb's brand new biography of Francis Crick) www.nature.com/articles/d41...
What Rosalind Franklin truly contributed to the discovery of DNA’s structure
Franklin was no victim in how the DNA double helix was solved. An overlooked letter and an unpublished news article, both written in 1953, reveal that she was an equal player.

Insurance companies aren’t just players in the fight with doctors over money; they’re also the referees.

They produce their own guidelines on when to pay claims. If a doctor appeals a denial, insurers make all the initial decisions.

“Slow Pay, Low Pay or No Pay”: Trial Reveals How Insurers Try to Wield Power Over Doctors

Over the past decade, there has been a rush of scholars moving across the Pacific to China, drawn by Beijing’s drive to become a scientific superpower.

But President Trump’s return to the White House has turbocharged this effort.
Why Trump’s cuts to scientific research are a big win for China
China is attracting American scientific talent, especially in STEM fields, partly due to funding cuts and immigration restrictions under President Donald Trump.

No idea why people keep saying this is socialism.

When Trump says "us" he isn't talking about Novo Nordisk giving a piece of the company to the US government, he's talking about them giving a piece of the company to him and his crooked ass sons.
Trump to the Novo Nordisk CEO: "Maybe you should give us a piece of the company like I've been asking for."

Melanoma, pancreatic cancer, and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) are each serious clinical challenges due to how common or aggressive they are and how poorly they often respond to treatment. Which is why researchers are determined to develop an effective treatment for all of them.
