It sometimes feels like we do all this research, identify syndromes and actionable mutations, create molecular diagnostics, targeted therapies and IO treatmentsand you still end up with cancer patients going undiagnosed and treated with antibiotics.

A litany of questions ran through my head as I read this:

If you have a patient with a family history of cancer, why was she not initially screened for any familial syndromes?

Why was she not on a surveillance program?
