Why all the talk about leadership challenges misses the point that the biggest problem facing this Government is not just a lack of leadership but a lack of clear ideas about what a Labour Government is actually for

Until that changes, the question of who sits in No 10 will remain a hollow one.
Labour's Biggest Problem Is Not a Lack of Leadership but a Lack of Ideas
Until Keir Starmer's party decides what it really stands for, the question of who leads them will remain a hollow one, argues Adam Bienkov

It is rapidly getting to the point where it doesn't make a difference. Labour are already saying that marginalised groups have the choice between the hangman and the firing squad, the outcome remains the same. Those defending them show they don't care about human rights, only their own.
This is political blackmail dressed up as pragmatism. Justifying their nasty policies with “Reform will be worse”.

And with that, I wholeheartedly agree.
The Autumn Budget should declare an Australia-style ‘war on bills’, says the progressive IPPR think tank today.

The major fiscal event must put the cost of living at heart of government’s agenda, moving beyond the ‘black hole’ IPPR argues, saying food & energy prices should be top priorities.

I do not understand the Labour government's reticence over defending the BBC and social media regulation. Their long-term survival basically depends on it. Their cowardice in the face of it may be the single thing they are most remembered for.

PO to pay £41m to Fujitsu.

Fujitsu was instrumental in persecution of innocent postmasters. £1.2bn compensation paid from public purse. More to follow. Fujitsu haven't paid a penny, no one has been charged.

Why is Fujitsu being rewarded?

I've always felt that Johnson and Farage put self-interest over the national interest - hence their dallying with Putin and his oligarchs. But directly colluding with a foreign government to take down the BBC feels like an act of supreme treachery

Everything on our news agenda is being driven by a corrupted disinformation machine, run by a billionaire who sponsors Tommy Robinson and who keeps trying to foment civil war in the UK.

And incredibly our MPs & news providers stay there.

THAT is the problem. Not some bad editing choice on the BBC.

It’s been so clear from the rapid drop in popularity.

Whatever good stuff they’re doing (and I do accept they are doing good stuff) is being more than cancelled out by the completely misguided policies emanating from Glasman and Blue Labour.

It’s not for me!
And on the day I post this, Glasman suggests bringing back the stocks.

Blue Labour is making Labour unelectable.
No. What’s breaking Labour is Labour forgetting to be Labour.

What’s breaking Labour is Blue Labour.
