Life in Dad Land - tales of dementia from the inside

Dad is in his 80s, has a non-Alzheimer's dementia, and is otherwise healthy. He's been living with me since early 2020.

Various tales include whatever his current obsession is, such as A Door Into Summer, No Spiders!, and Why Can't I?

Made banana bread. Cheated, used a mix, but enhanced it a little. Came out great! Dad will love it.

Trying to avoid laundry, but if I bake much more it will all go bad.

sigh.

Snow squall yesterday - visibility was less than 40 ft for about 15, 20 minutes. The rear of the garage is 13 ft from the house, the front is 34 ft from the house.
On a clear day a street, a field and a line of trees would be visible beyond the garage.

Still cold (phone says 16, without the windchill.)

Still pretty and sparkly.

I forgot to do something yesterday. Actually, I blew off something completely different but if I hadn't, I would have remembered the thing I forgot because it is on the way.
Oh well. I'll make a special trip out today.

The data - our information - is being collected, logged used.

Read this, understand it, share it.
One encounter with federal agents can turn into a permanent data profile. After that, “unclear” becomes a feature...not a bug. New post is up:

So, these armed felons from January 6, 2021 are “just tourists!”

But an ICU nurse defending a woman who ICE pepper-sprayed and pushed to the ground was a “domestic terrorist “!
