As always, huge thanks to all YouTubers who uploaded around the holidays.

You're family to many of us.

In that vein, Happy holidays, @livinglinux.bsky.social !

@livinglinux.bsky.social do you have any suggestions for an up-to-date(ish) Chromium build for RISC-V?

I've looked everywhere but I can't find anything promising.

I'm working on a game store for RISC-V boards.

This is probably the second-nerdiest thing I've done in my life.

I'm extremely proud of it.

BLACK PHONE 2 features a chilling performance from Ethan Hawke, magnificent makeup effects, and a compelling backstory and is a perfect example of a masterful sequel.

The commies are coming for your ill family members!
The people who support $12B in corporate welfare to farms and forgave $80B in auto bailouts and forgave $700B in bank bailouts and forgave $755B in PPP loans want you to know that forgiving medical debt and student debt is socialism😐

I think it's great that @netflix.com has been (quietly) releasing short documentaries addressing hardcore issues.

"All the empty rooms" is a 33min short-doc about the rooms (and families) left behind by school shooting victims:

In this moving short documentary, a journalist and a photographer set out to memorialize the bedrooms left behind by children killed in school shootings.

Seeking asylum is not illegal.

People entering the country by irregular means without any other option are not breaking the law.

The Govenrment should be showing humanity not further brutality

@worlddengueday.bsky.social Hi! Thank you for the follow! How can we collaborate? www.spaceappschallenge.org/2025/find-a-...

We're already looking to partner with local governments. This app predicts Aedes Aegypti larvae growth risk using NASA satellites, population density and dengue case history.

You won't see it on the NASA website because it's not being updated due to the shutdown (thanks), but my dengue-risk prediction project has been selected from among nearly 10,000 project as a Global Nominee!

It uses NASA satellites mixed with dengue records to predict outbreaks before they happen.

Woof. Preach.
I think a lot of people don’t realize how insanely pervasive and coercive the early 2010s “the only way to make it as a young writer is to publish insanely confessional, raw online essays about your darkest secrets and trauma” culture was.

Releasing this is a dream come true. Silly little tasks that I often have to do myself (so I assume other devs too?) and replace a lot of tools and especially web apps for me. It'll be great if I can just point people to this offline, drm-free, AI-free, ad-free, etc. software
