You won't see it on the NASA website because it's not being updated due to the shutdown (thanks), but my dengue-risk prediction project has been selected from among nearly 10,000 project as a Global Nominee!

It uses NASA satellites mixed with dengue records to predict outbreaks before they happen.

Woof. Preach.
I think a lot of people don’t realize how insanely pervasive and coercive the early 2010s “the only way to make it as a young writer is to publish insanely confessional, raw online essays about your darkest secrets and trauma” culture was.

Can't wait for someone to invent an AI that feels my anxiety for me.

Releasing this is a dream come true. Silly little tasks that I often have to do myself (so I assume other devs too?) and replace a lot of tools and especially web apps for me. It'll be great if I can just point people to this offline, drm-free, AI-free, ad-free, etc. software

I'VE WON!!!

I've won my regional NASA SpaceApps competition with my app MosquitOFF!

MosquitOFF predicts where mosquito growth is most likely.

It uses NASA satellite data, as well as Paraguay's population and dengue historical data to predict best conditions for growth.

Haha just got this "memory" from the Zuck's site.

The good old days of making fun of my mental health issues because I couldn't afford any other type of therapy.

I've been seeing these same ads for months and been wondering how on Earth they were getting away with it.

I'm so happy someone is doing something about it.

Imagine dodging the Vietnam draft and then posting this.
Hey everyone...LOOK OVER HERE! It's Lt. Col. Bone Spurs declaring war on an American city!!! Does his rough tough cream-puff cosplay make you forget about the EPSTEIN survivors, their lifetime of trauma & their courage to speak the truth in public?

Yeah, me neither.

This is something I actively faught for.

I also asked every film distributor to name the author of a review as well as the publication when they used a quote for an accolades trailer or poster.

Sure, it's cool for the film to get kudos from so-and-so publication, but most journos are freelancers
Over the last several years publications actively avoided building up their writers, not letting them become a big attraction. But that’s what people want from critics! A voice they know and trust. This is also a good safeguard for when that access doesn’t come!

Can one day go by without bad news?

I guess not today.

Trans peeps <3
The trans community needs our full support. We’ve seen where evil, unforgivable conservative scapegoating leads.

Nobody should have suffered through those horrors before, nobody should ever have to suffer through them again.

Do EVERYTHING you can. Sitting this one out isn’t an option.

OK, so I guess I do have content after that goat thing after all.

The Hot Air Balloon World Championship is being held in my town of 10,000 bewildered inhabitants.

This Silent Hill DLC be wildin', y'all.

If you don't think communicating with a goat is cool, I've got nothing left for you, y'all.

This is peak content. It ain't gonna get any better than this around here.

👀 Been tinkering with a little side project…

It looks at your Steam library and suggests games you already own — so maybe you don’t need to buy that shiny new release (or Steam Sale game) after all.

Would love some feedback before I push it live. Try it here if you're curious: backlogbuddy.app
