Chichester resident who will be mourned by millions round the world. Dame Patricia Routledge RIP.
The death of Dame Patricia Routledge is so sad. She has been a long time resident in Chichester and did a lot for the community. An outstanding actress who quietly gave so much back.

The UK asylum system is in crisis and we have called for measures to clear the backlog of cases.

But the Conservatives should have shown some humility for having created that crisis before trying to scapegoat asylum seekers with their motion in parliament this afternoon.

We will stand strong where others back down. We will not pander to Reform.

We will fight to protect our environment, stand up for decency and the rule of law, and stop Trump’s America from becoming Farage’s Britain.

If you share those values, now is the time to join the Liberal Democrats.

The Lib Dems will stand firm, for decency, the rule of law and our environment.

When companies generate renewable energy, they are expected to give money back to the local community.

But the amount of cash we’re talking about is pitiful because the rules haven’t changed in a decade.

We need to change those rules to cut energy bills for local people.

There is only one way to make this a proper peace and that is a two state solution.

A Palestinian independent state alongside the state of Israel, where both peoples can live in security and dignity.

At the next election, there is everything to play for in Edinburgh.

Council by-elections show that support for Labour, the SNP and the Conservatives is collapsing because they have all let you down.

Scotland deserves better - and with the Liberal Democrats, you can vote for it.

Congratulations to all!
Three big Lib Dem wins in this week's by-elections.

Last night in Mel Stride's Devon constituency, Liberal Democrats GAINED a seat from the Conservatives - the Conservatives dropped to just 10% of the vote.

And two great wins by our teams in Bath and Hampshire.

By backing the Liberal Democrat candidate Sanne Dijkstra-Downie in May, voters can elect a strong local champion and beat the SNP in Edinburgh Northern.

Great policy manifesto on #MentalHealth #WMHD

Time for high quality care.
No one should be stuck in the awful position of waiting months on end for mental health services.

It's time to supercharge mental health care in this country.

#Brexit has cost the economy £1,000bn to date.

It has cost @HMTreasury some £400bn to date.

That is money which could have been spent on UK public services; pot holes, water infrastructure and sewage, HS2, roads, rails, hospitals, NHS waiting lists, care homes.
As the EU’s new Entry/Exit Scheme finally rolls out, British businesses face further chaos — and it’s totally avoidable.

The Liberal Democrats are demanding urgent action to stop trade grinding to a halt.

Ming was a principled politician, and had such generosity of spirit. We @libdems.org.uk are so proud to have had him as one of our own.

My thoughts are with his family and friends as he’s laid to rest today. May he rest in peace.
My friend Ming Campbell had so many strengths. Olympian, statesman, party leader.

At St Andrews, where he was Chancellor for almost twenty years, he gave so much to generations of students. Wendy Chamberlain and I were proud to honour his legacy in the place he loved.
