Clean, super-cheap, ag-friendly, oiligarch-free, low resource energy is really exciting.

Hey, MB Hydro! Read this before building your $3B LNG burning backup plant.

- 80+ countries call for a roadmap to phase out fossil fuels.
- Many of which are building (Chinese-made) solar capacity.
- Which is rapidly dropping in price and improving in efficiency.

Watching Carney's APEC CEO Summit talking about how Canada would vastly increase (more than doubling) our LNG exports by 2040 was distressing.

The costs of fossil fuel damage to climate and health are increasing. Ignoring that is bad economics.

Power (and water) for people, not billionaire oligarchs.
A bonehead move by our govt. BC has got it right, passing legislation to limit the waste of valuable clean energy on environmentally disastrous data centres. We will need our limited hydro capacity to electrify the economy, not to subsidize Amazon, Meta and X. #MbPoli

Will our political leaders wake up? For the health of our democracy we need Proportional Representation implemented. Premier David Eby has the power to change our voting system, without a referendum. Lets do it!!!
The results of the public consultation by BC’s Democratic and Electoral Reform Committee are in, and the feedback the committee received was overwhelmingly for proportional representation. Time for action!

Telling a room full of really people, many who can see the direct results of climate change on their countries, that this is a hoax is the ultimate in gaslighting, from a government funded by O&G.

We are subsidizing O&G for $Bs every year a) making corporations wealthy(er) and b) making climate change worse and more costly.

LNG projects in BC, Canada are on track to receive CAD 3.93 billion in public support by the end of 2030.

This money could be better spent accelerating growth of clean industries & helping communities adapt to climate change.

This. Expanding fossil fuel development in an era of rapid, and cheaper, renewable deployment is lunacy. Especially considering recent reports on the health impacts of breathing forest fire smoke all summer.

Another piece I’ve been working on for a while… many parts of North America used to burn as much (or even more) than present, but climate change is also making wildfires worse… so how do we explain this? I spoke to experts and dive into the details:

Manitoba has lost another summer in a forest fire smoke-induced haze. And yet the "EV's will never work in Manitoba" crowd (looking at you CPC MPs), have surrendered unconditionally to a grim future.

You keep using that word "conserve" - I don't think you know what it means.
