(1/3) It needs repeating: in 1994, Ukraine was persuaded to give up its nuclear weapons to Russia in return for the US, the UK, and Russia guaranteeing Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

yes. considering some people subhuman is eugenics. that is a tool of the enemy; we must not use it.
it is important to recognize the humanity of your enemies; they are not sub human

it is important bc u need to remember that as a human being, with free will, they *choose* to oppress people

I really need people to understand that disabled folks:

Exist across every other axis of oppression
Are underrepresented by DEI efforts almost across the board
Are the first to go in almost every situation of oppression
Are laughed off by people who consider themselves inclusive
So tired of seeing people tout that we should support Black/LGBT/women owned businesses in light of the DEI rollbacks, but no mention of disabled owned businesses.

Drop your fav disabled owned business below, or your own!

The first Black woman to join the U.S. Army Nurse Corps in the 1940s after the military was desegregated, Nancy Leftenant-Colon, has died. She was 104.

Remembered by relatives and friends for quietly breaking down racial barriers during her long military career.

The USAF removed Tuskegee Airmen & Women Airforce Service Pilots of WWII from basic training curriculum. For 30 years I promised these women I would not let them ever be forgotten again. We worked for decades to have them remembered. The Airmen too. Knowledge is power. 🗃️ www.msn.com/en-us/societ...

Many who speak about DEI being removed from employment are forgetting disabled people in that conversation. It’s not surprising since most forget about us as a whole but this is going to make it so disabled people can barely get hired or receive any accommodations. We’re barely surviving as is.

The amount of joy certain comment sections have given me today is directly related to medical trauma and PTSD. I'd say I'm going to hell, but I no longer believe in the place.

As a disabled person who has medical PTSD and has watched my peers repeatedly take their own lives or suffer for decades in poverty I will never, ever, EVER have sympathy or empathy for a single person who lives off wealth from the healthcare industry. And I won’t be quiet about my disdain either.

Around this time every year, I share a list of ways to support Native people. From supporting Indigenous people seeking abortion care to defending Native voting rights and keeping Native families together, here are some causes worth supporting. 🧵
