Our oldest will be packing and getting ready this week to go off to college. The youngest is getting ready for grade 12. There was a time when we didn’t know if we’d ever even be able to have kids. 💕

I fully realize that texting is “convenient”, but I'm much more likely to respond to correspondence if it's in the form of a handwritten letter composed on an oak desk by candlelight with a quill dipped in a bottle of ink, enclosed in an envelope with a wax seal, and sent via raven.

It’s worth noting that JK Rowling is not only funding meritless legal challenges against trans people until they can appeal up to the court that will back them, she openly gloats about how this is where her money is going. This is what the Harry Potter TV show is bankrolling.
jk rowling funded a case going before the supreme court that argues it should be legal to discriminate against and persecute trans ppl.
yet still we have to listen to ‘centrists’ claiming she isn’t bigoted she just has ‘a difference of opinion’.

For the love of butter tarts, if you’re going to “shop Canadian,” please don’t boycott products that are made in Canada/with Canadian products or ingredients just because the company is American. Think of the employees. Don’t punish them for who owns their place of work.

Finally got our Covid and flu shots while getting groceries. The weather is turning miserable, so I’m glad we’re done with everything out of the house for the day. We can just rest.

I’m not impressed that I’ve gotten sick and missed my great-aunt’s funeral. It’s a side of the family that’s dear to me and honestly, funerals are the only time we see each other anymore. Love and thoughts to @chrisbittle.bsky.social (she was his grandma) and your family.
