My life is going well this last month and I get scared of celebrating it in case something bad happens.

All I know is that I didn’t crash land at Christmas, I wasn’t further burned out by the festivities and somehow ready to make things happen almost every day of the break to set up this year.

Just ran the numbers in this article. Australians are spending between $1.6 billion and $2 billion a year on GLP-1.

At the end of the day, putting these products on PBS could mean much less is needed for the wider health system for weight-related illnesses.
Ozempic-like drug to be listed on PBS for people with severe obesity
The cost of weight loss drug Wegovy will soon be massively subsidised for Australians with severe obesity who have had a stroke or heart attack.

Pretty happy that I have gone back down from XL shirts to L size and am getting back into shirts I haven’t worn in years. I haven’t ‘lost weight’, but this helps me see how going to gym and exercising more has made a real difference for my quality of life.

You see Adelaide Festival board, we still live in a country where silencing voices is wrong and won’t be tolerated especially when the voices you’re trying to silence merely have a problem with genocide.

Racism is intolerance towards any race/culture…not just the one that you support/agree with.

We test drove a BYD Atto 2 on Saturday & finally saw an Atto 1 in person at Sunshine Plaza today.

I had been chasing the Atto 1/Seagull/Dolphin Mini for years, but BYD has spoiled us.

The basic Atto 2 feels like a whole different league of a car for a few thousand more than the top-spec Atto 1!

Electric vehicles will end oil wars – if we let them
With the news of the US’ actions in Venezuela this morning, we are reminded again of how reducing oil demand can lead to less conflict – and electric vehicles are our best bet for doing so. more…

MTV shutting down is a sad moment for me. Even though it was never huge in Australia, it still meant something to know it existed.

Music videos have always given me autistic joy. It is that full sensory click when the visuals and the song line up and my whole brain lights up.

I’m just at the point where if we need a freaking royal commission into one awful and tragic attack carried out by two extremists, why can’t we have one into the scourge of domestic violence that takes pretty much one woman’s life each week…carried out by “he seemed like a pretty good bloke”

“Survey after survey has shown that business owners overestimate how many customers drive to their stores vs walking or biking. In a 2012 Los Angeles study, more than half of the store owners on the bike-laned part of the boulevard thought most of their customers drove. The actual number was 15%.”
I read all the studies on the economic impact of bike lanes. Here's what I learned.
Research proves that bike lanes are good for business. So why do so many stores and restaurants still oppose them?

Here’s to 2026, a fresh year ahead and a quiet toast to the one we are leaving behind 🎉

2025 was the year I finally received real support as an autistic and ADHD adult, returned to full time work and found a rhythm to have a better quality of life than any other time in my life.

How to: Get to Know Android Privacy and Security Settings
Open up your Android phone’s Settings app and you’ll find dozens of different options with little guidance on what those options do. Pausing data centers is opting out of reality. The horse has bolted — AI compute is here. China gets it: data centers aren’t blocked, they’re disciplined, with ~80% #renewable power mandates. Tie compute to clean energy, storage & grids and it becomes a catalyst — or fight it and get left behind.

I have been busier than I had planned to be these holidays and am not feeling scared of burning out.

Anyone who remembers what my life was like a year or even two ago would be so amazed to see what I have done in the space of the last week.

Many autistic adults survive by masking, suppressing stims, scripting conversations, tolerating sensory overload, and hiding anxiety and confusion. From the outside this can look like success or resilience. From the inside, it often feels like constant effort with no real recovery. 4/8

Feels brutal that the Boxing Day Test may be over in two days.

Usually my pace this time of year that it probably takes me three or four days to get around to watching it.

One happy childhood memory I have of Boxing Day growing up was having permission to do the deepest of dives into whatever my special interest (new toy/videogame) was for the entire day other than stopping to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.
