I'm literally 5 minutes into the Brennan Lee Mulligan episode of Mythical Kitchen and he's already dropped a pearl of life wisdom that made me pause the video so I could walk away and stare out a window to contemplate my life

"What if one of YOUR favorite politicians/celebrities/etc is on the list?" Did you all not notice how quickly we dropped Neil Gaiman when we found out about the things he did? Do you know how beloved that guy used to be and how loathed he is now? I think that right there should answer your question.

I hate that there is no grace period between Halloween stuff and Christmas now. November first and the supermarkets are in Christmas mode. I hate it.

“When they rob us of art and emotion, that leads us towards the aesthetics of fascism. In this film, all the sets are real, the decor is human-sized, there are painstakingly created miniatures... It’s there to remind us that art is not only necessary, it is urgent. And AI can go fuck itself!”

According to a man in town today I was deeply inconsiderate for parking perfectly intbetween the lines because it meant that he couldn't get in his car since... yknow.. he had parked like an utter melt before I'd even arrived.

OK, this is wild.

In September 2023, geophysicists across the world started monitoring a very odd signal coming from the ground under them.

It was picked up in the Arctic. And Antarctica. It was detected everywhere, every 90 seconds, as regular as a metronome, for *nine days*.

What the HELL?

I wish the Red Dwarf novels were available as ebooks. My paperback copies (which were 'borrowed' from my school library 28 years ago) are hanging on for dear life and I'm actually scared to open them to reread.

I love my obsidian. I love it. Every note that I had scattered on my phone, desktop etc. has gone in there. It's my daily diary, my tracking records for habits, books, movies, my dogs health issues, and filled to the brim with quotes and interesting (to me) shit.
