Chuck this sounds really serious. Please call your senator and let him know. Maybe he or she can do something.
America is meant to be a bastion of free speech.
Everybody across the political spectrum should be speaking out to stop what’s happening to Jimmy Kimmel.
This is about protecting democracy.
This must go to court.

What color crayon do you think Chuck is going to bring to the knife fight?
Donald Trump is ordering Republicans not to even bother talking with Democrats about the budget.
The American people know it would be him shutting the government down.

This seat is Safe Blue. Democrat Gerry Connolly won 66-33 in 2024. That's still a nine-point swing - only seven and half months into the Orange Error.
Democrats continue to outperform their 2024 results in every 2025 race.

A shutdown would give Donald Trump the keys to the city, state, and country.
Musk has said he wants a shutdown, and reporting has shown he is already making plans to use the shutdown to expedite his destruction of key government programs and services.

Schumer is a direct mail fundraising operation impersonating a United States Senator.
Schumer wants us to believe Senate Dems are powerless while literally providing the votes to ensure the GOP agenda goes forward.
If a shutdown was better for Trump, the House GOP wouldn't have passed this CR and the Senate GOP wouldn't vote for it.
Schumer knows that; he's outright lying to us.

Schumer: "For sure, the Republican bill is a terrible option. It is not a clean CR. It is deeply partisan. It doesn't address far too many of this country's needs. But I believe allowing Donald Trump to take even much more power via a government shutdown is a far worse option."

Cops routinely invent details at trial they didn't include in their reports. You can impeach it, but juries tend to give more weight to in-court demeanor, especially self-confidence in their recollection. The real mischief in AI-assistance is how it will (mis)direct the parties' investigation.
Axon’s Draft One—an AI tool for drafting police reports—seems like a time-saver, but it’s going into widespread use without adequate testing and could have dire consequences if the chatbot errs in serious cases, EFF’s @mguariglia.bsky.social told @arstechnica.com.

This is a great idea. I would love a "candidate forum" where the candidates mingle with voters in a round-robin poker tournament. You can really get the measure of a person by the way they lay their cards.

If you think there's no way a certain defendant can't get prison time, remember that America has a long tradition of locking up former American presidents.
Former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernández was sentenced by a U.S. judge to 45 years in a federal prison and an $8 million fine for running his Central American country as a “narco-state” that formed a critical passageway for South American cocaine flowing to the United States.
