As someone who's written Bloodshot, this sucks.

The transphobia in the new Bloodshot is absolutely horrible. I've seen a lot of people trying to avoid the obvious but Buddy, like two pages over the author starts comparing something to "adrenochrome but worse"

People throw around the term "purity test" like it's somehow a bad thing to have boundaries about who you are willing to be in a coalition with. It is good and healthy to be choosy about who you fight for freedom alongside, and apartheid/genocide is exactly where those red lines should be drawn.

It's not quite that knowledge production is meaningless, or has no effect on politics, or can't even be threatening to the established order -- but it isn't sufficient by itself. A corpse in the tomb only frightens children. But a corpse standing up and walking around? That's another matter.
