Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

One of the cruelest things about mental illness is that it can isolate very loving, empathetic people from the most intimate relationships. I wrote this poem when I was in a psych ward, thinking about others—known and unknown—who have carried life this way. 🖤

I don't know what the Senate is going to do. But if they do in fact fold in exchange for nothing, they will be living up to past performance. To expect the Senate to carry out the will of the American people is to misunderstand why it was created in the first place.

Republicans are for “state’s rights” when that means promoting segregation and tormenting LGBTQ folks.

When state’s rights means feeding your state’s residents, they are all in for the federal government ensuring starvation.

New Yorkers, the law is clear: if you have an EBT balance, a store that accepts SNAP must allow you to use your card.
