After nearly 16 hours of waiting the ambulance finally took my father to the hospital. That's 16 hours in agony unable to move. Having to pee into a bottle. I'd like your explanation of this delay please!

@scotambservice.bsky.social my father (79) has been waiting 11 hours for an ambulance to take him to hospital. He has a dislocated hip and is in severe pain. How much longer is this going to take? I live in Madrid and I'm dependent on updates from my sister in Scotland.

So here's another Brexit Bonus, not! But first a guilty secret. I love Brussel sprouts, but only with packet bread sauce, which I can't buy in Madrid. 6 packets ordered from the UK are now stuck in Spanish customs who want €52.38 to release them. I guess no bread sauce for me this year!
