The Herzog protests and limiting dissent
As Australia rolls out the red carpet for the President of Israel, it’s dissent – not the killing of civilians – that risks being treated as the crime.

Where is the appropriate rage being expressed by the Australian government? Crickets.
Had literally *any* other nation done this the anger being heard across the media airwaves and from politicians would be deafening and unending.

Something Australoa should be not just concerned about, but red hot angry about. Yet @albomp.bsky.social won’t even touch on it during Herzog’s visit.
“The first need is to stop people in Gaza dying and to provide succour to those who have been starving and suffering for years ..the desecration of the graves of Australian soldiers might not be major in the global scheme of things, but something Australians should be concerned about.” #auspol

Albo is doing shocking and unprecedented things as Prime Minister on a weekly basis now

- Hate Speech Acts
- Fire sale of Defence prime real estate
- Herzog visit

We desperately need a viable opposition and independent media.

What a start to the year - and we thought 2025 was exhausting

What about Australia’s Anthony Albanese?

He’s made no secret of his affiliation with Trump/Nethanyahu?

President of Israel arrives in Australia on 8 February even though he’s connected to the genocide and occupation by settlers of Gaza and Westbank?

So much for international law. #auspol

Choices are pretty clear cut by now, its solar sovereignty and solar democracy or capitulation to fossil fascism and our traditional overlords.

Happening all the time. It’s gotten to the point that governments realise there is nothing really to halt the march of the climate crisis, so no sense in scaring voters.
"At the last minute the launch was cancelled, reportedly blocked by Number 10. Thanks to pressure from campaigners and a freedom of information request, a 14-page version of the report was snuck out (no launch, not even a press release) on January 22."

From the desk of @marchudson.bsky.social:
A UK climate security report backed by the intelligence services was quietly buried – a pattern we’ve seen many times before
Governments have been warned about climate change for 70 years. They’re still suppressing the worst news.
