Happening all the time. It’s gotten to the point that governments realise there is nothing really to halt the march of the climate crisis, so no sense in scaring voters.

Big fucking difference between wearing a N95 or similar respirator to protect yourself and others from COVID and goons wearing neck gaiters to hide their identity. Also neck gaiters don't stop covid. You should wear a mask for your safety. Many in protests are. It is bad faith to conflate the two.
My understanding is that immigrants in Minneapolis are trying to leave their homes as little as possible. People are helping them pay rent, get groceries, etc. In those circumstances shouldn’t you want to minimize the spread of any illness as much as possible? Especially during flu season?

Just experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com

I just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.
